Morrow, Maxine Pearce - Age 89- Birmingham, AL (Formerly of Athens, AL &
Hamilton, AL)
Funeral for Maxine Pearce Morrow, 89, of Birmingham and formerly from Athens,
will be at 1 p.m. Monday at McConnell Funeral Home. Burial will be in Roselawn
Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday at the funeral home
chapel.
Mrs. Morrow died Thursday, Sept. 14, 2006 at Baptist Princeton Hospital in
Birmingham.
She is survived by one son, Richmond P. Morrow of Montgomery, one daughter,
Lauren M. Moyers of Madison; one brother, N.D. Pearce and wife Linda of Opelika;
two sisters, Clarene Pearce of Opelika and Sue Deshazo and husband Pete of
Birmingham; four grandchildren, Tim Moyers of Madison, Kim Moyers Yeager of
Vinemont, Pamela Moyers Page of Lester and Mandy Morrow of Decatur; 10
great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers and honorary pallbearers will be Pete Deshazo, Tim Moyers, Tommy
Page, Perry Yeager, Blake Page, Chris Deshazo N.D. Pearce and Larry McCain.
Mrs. Morrow was born Sept. 29, 1916, in Hamilton, Ala., to Frank Pearce and
Lilly Green Pearce. She was retired from the U.S. Department of Agriculture. She
was a member of First Baptist Church in Athens.
She was preceded in death by her husband C.R. “Shorty” Morrow and sisters Joy
Carpenter and Kathryn Loden.
